Description: Sam is a tall and svelte 24 year old African-American
woman, standing 5'11" and weighing 135 lbs. Honey-eyed (i.e. hazel) with
her hair in a multitude of dreaded braids that barely reach to her
shoulders, Sam is long-limbed with smooth mahogany skin. Her muscles flow
gracefully one to the other, giving her the appearance of a dancer. Her
smile is alluring, both inviting and mysterious.
Mutant
Abilities: Sam can create a spherical micro-environment that has a
maximum radius of 10' (with her as center). This micro-environment provides
the ideal conditions for those within and Sam intrinsically knows what that
perfect environment is. Whatever the conditions are on the outside, they do
not affect the space within the sphere, thus Sam is protected from such
hazards as the vacuum of outer space, the heat of a raging inferno, a gas
leak at a fertilizer plant, a radiation spill at a laboratory, a
thunderstorm etc. Also, no matter what the ideal conditions are, Sam can
create them.
In practical terms, her micro-environment
acts as a kind of force field which means that sufficient force can knock it
out. If this happens, Sam falls unconscious. Thus, while she can withstand
the cold vacuum of space, the intense pressure of being on the ocean's floor
or the extreme heat of a volcano's heart, she wouldn't be able to do this
for more than 10-15 minutes before she begins to weaken and outside
conditions start to effect inside conditions; this continues until she fails
all together in which case the sphere collapses and she is subject to the
ravages of the whatever environment she finds herself in. Note:
this power only protects Sam and those inside her sphere.
